What is Auden Arc?
Auden Arc is a consultancy for commercial refrigeration and commercial kitchen service companies in the US, with about 3 to 40 field techs. We find where jobs get lost, build the fix, and keep running it. The first fix we offer is 24/7 service intake: when a customer’s after-hours call goes unanswered, they get a text back right away asking for the site, the equipment, what it’s doing, and whether product is at risk, and your on-call tech gets a phone call and a text.
How does the escalation ladder work?
You set the order. Your on-call tech gets a phone call that rings plus a text, and it waits for them to accept. If nobody accepts within 4 minutes, it goes to the next tech on your list, then your service manager. You also set what counts as urgent: for example, walk-ins and freezers page right away, while ice machines and reach-ins wait till morning. Every rung is someone at your company.
Does my service manager get paged more?
Only if nobody above them accepts. Your on-call tech gets the call and text first, then the next tech 4 minutes later, then your service manager. Your shop sets the order.
What if something breaks at night?
The ladder keeps running on its own, and Devon is never part of it. It’s monitored 24/7, and anything that breaks is fixed by the next business morning.
Do we have to change our phone number?
No. You keep your number. Only after-hours calls that go unanswered are forwarded.
Does it work with ServiceTitan?
Nothing plugs into ServiceTitan, and it doesn’t replace it. Your dispatcher gets a clean ticket by email (your on-call tech gets a call and a text) and enters the job in ServiceTitan the way they do now. The same goes for ServiceTrade, BuildOps or whatever software you use.
We already have an answering service. Do we drop it?
No, you can keep it. How the two fit together is set up around how you work during the build.
Does a robot voice answer our phones?
No. Nothing answers your phone with a robot voice. A customer whose after-hours call goes unanswered gets a text back right away, and status texts as the job is accepted. Your techs don’t install an app; they accept by text or call.
How long does setup take?
About a week to build and test on a test line. Going live waits on US carrier approval for business texting, which usually takes one to three weeks. Before it goes live, we run a test emergency together on your real setup.
What does it cost?
The shop scorecard is free. The Shop Audit is $297, and it’s credited to your one-time build: $1,000 for 3 to 8 techs, $2,000 for 9 to 20, or $3,000 for 21 to 40. After that it’s $297, $597 or $897 a month, by active field techs on payroll, plus $147 a month for each extra location, with a 6-month minimum. All prices are in US dollars.
We have 21+ techs or more than one location. Where do we start?
With the Operations Teardown instead of the $297 audit. It’s $997, credited to your build. We trace jobs from the first call to the paid invoice at every location, place 3 logged test calls to each location’s line, send a free scorecard for each location, and give you a written map with every fix ranked, scoped and priced, plus a 30-minute walkthrough with Devon. For the free scorecard, send the form once for each location.
What are the terms, and is there a limit on calls?
There’s a 6-month minimum at your tier’s monthly price, and the first month is billed when your build goes live. If you’d rather go month to month, it’s your tier’s price plus 20%. If your shop grows into the next tier, your price moves up at renewal, not partway through. Each tier covers a set number of after-hours calls a month: 100 for 3 to 8 techs, 250 for 9 to 20, and 500 for 21 to 40. Past that, extra calls are $0.50 each. Not included: marketing or bulk texts, handling your daytime calls, or texting people who didn’t call you.
Who is behind Auden Arc?
Auden Arc is founder-led by Devon Weaver, based in Calgary and working with US shops. The person who hears about your problem is the person who builds and runs the fix. Auden Arc is taking its first 3 US shops.
